Coffee Cup Cafe
Venturing far East of the famous Las Vegas strip to Boulder City, we try a small family owned diner. What’s cool about this restaurant is that it was featured on Guy Fieri’s show, “Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.”
It was nice to get out of the city and explore for a few hours. Before getting brunch at Coffee Cup Cafe, my friends and I walked the Railroad Pass trail. It was about a 10 minutes or less drive away from the cafe. This trail is very easy but not as much shady areas so I recommend going really early so it’s not as hot! On the path that we took, the only scenery we seen was Lake Mead. However, we did get to walk through many railroad tunnels and enjoyed the little cool breezy shade. We even got to see and hear some bats but only in one of the tunnels!
After wrapping up the trail, we went and got brunch. It was our first time here and like most small local diners, there was a wait. We didn’t mind because we were able to order our drinks and wait outside for our table to be ready. I had their Mimosa which was totally worth the $7 price. In a 16oz. plastic cup, they use a full champagne split and fill the rest of the cup with a splash of orange juice. I couldn’t taste much of the juice so definitely worth it!
Great Customer Service
Our server was really helpful and patient with us as we had many questions about what to eat. My friend and I weren’t sure if we wanted breakfast or lunch but our server gave us a really good suggestion.. upgrading our side for french toast! What a score!! She was able to help us satisfy both cravings!
Coffee Cup Cafe is about 45 minutes away from the city but EVERYTHING was worth the drive! I will definitely have to make another trip out to Boulder City again soon so I can explore the other surrounding shops and get brunch here again. We need to support more LOCAL restaurants during this time!
