Can you believe this?! I’ve been living in Las Vegas for about 4 years now and I have never had tacos from a taco truck! There are so many different taco restaurants and trucks in Las Vegas to choose from as well so finding one isn’t hard.
In honor of #TacoTuesday, I FINALLY got my taco fix from a taco truck! I ordered from El Tacontento truck located on the corner of Rancho Blvd. and Smoke Ranch Road. Before arriving, I thought my boyfriend was taking me to their restaurant but instead we pulled up to the truck. Pretty cool experience for me.

Whenever I eat tacos, I always order Asada (steak), Al Pastor (marinated pork), and Lengua (beef tongue). I don’t really care for pollo (chicken) tacos because I am a big meat eater. Chicken just seems too plain and healthy for tacos.. in my opinion.
Flour tortillas are homemade! They have a tortilla maker machine in their truck so you can watch!
Tacos $2.50 ea
I added their salsa verde (green salsa) inside and it tasted so good! There was just the right amount of spice in every bite for me.
Lately, I have been seeing a lot of posts on social media about Birria. I didn’t know exactly what it was until I asked my cousin. She said, “Birria is taco dipped in soup”. I’m not sure how accurate that is but I was willing to try anything that said birria.
Quesabirria was so good! I wish I ordered more than one! Luckily, I save this for last because it looked as good as it tasted. I’m not sure what kind of meat is in it but it definitely came with cheese, onions, and cilantro. If this is what birria tastes like… I would order more of this than regular tacos!
Ever since I had El Tacontento, I’ve been considering them for dinner over and over again. Unfortunately, I have to remind myself to try new places and broaden my taste palatte.
I will have tacos again, SOON!
